Some of the most interesting art I ever did was a series of small drawings that started out simply as doodles. I always had a notepad and pens near the phone in my office and when chatting on the phone (sometimes VERY long business conference calls) I would start doodling away while chatting.
These rough doodles would soon start to form a picture, which I would enhance to flesh out a finished drawing. After a while I had so many interesting pieces that I decided to frame them and hang them all together in a collage. They’ve followed me around for years hanging in a variety of layouts in the places I’ve lived.
