After doing several pieces that contained Koi, I had this humorous image in my head of a cat curiously playing with the fish, so I created the cat and let the rest of the scene unfold in my mind. As my hands and mind subconsciously worked together this completed piece resulted. It took over a week to complete. Anytime I create sculpted bamboo I get bogged down in a time consuming process, but I always like the end result. This piece was interesting also because it was the first time I used an alternative medium to create the cascading water.
