Like many of my pieces, this work has a lot of detail and took a lot of time to design and build. What’s interesting about this piece is that it originally started out to be an artist painting in either his studio or in a garden, but as I “dressed him” he was suddenly wearing a tuxedo and needed a more formal environment.

So here he is now sitting in a spring garden and courtyard playing the bass for a least one adoring audience member – notice the cat sitting under a well provided buffet table laden with some tempting treats!
